Yes, but IMO not only that. It _was_ her period, but she also meant to say it in
reference to subsequent lines "who'd want to wash in the same bath tub Misato
and baka-Shinji do? Who'd want to breathe the same air Misato and baka Shinji
do?" and so on (an emotionally intense scene).
