Yes, it does. But I think there is, and will always be, some form of
conflict between Shinji and Asuka.
Like I said, I don't 'mind' the original line, but I do prefer the one
that was ultimately used.

Just like I don't 'mind' the alternate endings (the arm and Shinji one
is pretty wacky - but I could have lived with it :P Hey, maybe Asuka's
just taking her time reforming ^^;) but I prefer the one used *a lot*
more (it's the most appropriate of the three).
