Speaking as the person who asked the question about bitterness, I would
have to say that the summarized question on that webpage did not exactly
match the intent of my original question- which was if, as you said,
bitterness towards the fan's reaction to the original ending was the reason
the movie was violent.  I think I remember, however, the translator saying
first, "No, it wasn't out of bitterness," or something like that, so I
suppose Tsuramaki understood it.  The akadot exclusive questions were
really interesting though, with Tsuramaki reinforcing the point that EoE
wasn't violent because of the fans.  I like his quote about FLCL..."It's
okay to feel stupid."  Ah...
