I have no problem with that, since until there is conclusive proof, Lilith is still
just a possibility (and by far the strongest possibility, given the evidence). The
thing I do not like is the twisting of facts and mis-application of Occam's razor
to portray other possibilities (many of which can be eliminated by the facts in the
series) as more likely.

The liner notes remain vague on whether Lilith is the 2nd Angel. However, the
sections where they state that Adam and Lilith are the same sources of life do not
use any of these qualifying phrases, and are quite clear.

Regardless, if Rei was not created following Seele's plan, then she cannot be
included in the official Angel numbering. In contrast, Lilith was
discovered/captured according to plan and at approximately the right time (ie: in
the correct order). Further, given Adam's classification as the 1st Angel, it is
possible for Lilith to be the 2nd.
