Okay, I think this is where the misunderstanding lies.
The Japanese does not say that they are the same [sole/only] (douitsu) source of
life.  The wording is such that they are the same [type of] (onaji) source of
life.  This fits with the idea that they may have once been a single joined entity
(ie: Kabbalah) which then split into roughly equal and opposite halves and then
spawned their respective races.

I am not aware of anything that supports (much less proves) the "Lilith is not an
angel at all" theory.
