Nah, what I meant was we know they can reform from what happens to Shinji
in episode 20.

True. But IMO Eva isn't one of those shows where a character will go into
an introjection then abruptly come out of it shouting "It's all clear
now!". I've always liked how the outward aspects don't necessarily follow
the inward.

Yes we can.

They is some screwed-up kids.

Heh :)

Naoko's! No - Pen-pen's! No! Arrgh!

I see where you're coming from.

Well, I agree that if Shinji was lying on the beach thinking "Oh good,
everyone can pull themselves out of the goo, it can't be this bad for long"
he *probably* wouldn't consequently try to throttle his only company. But,
after piloting Eva and steering Instrumentality, he's just a boy, and IMO
he's cracked. If he's thinking anything and isn't just a bundle of id, I'd
think it'd be something like "Was all of that REALLY necessary?"

And what a point of agreement! I mean, what were they thinking with those
english VAs!?

Well, maybe. I don't think of it as happy, just that the end dialogue
really makes it clear that there is some sort of hope. But its just as
pointless - great, Instrumentality happened, but it failed and no-one is
any better off for it, forsooth. And it could be f******* ages before
anyone gets tired of unexisting - IMO the only reason Asuka and Shinji are
there already is that they were in Evas when it hit the fan.

Loved that episode. Bloody zentraedi thinkin' they can conquer us...

Haven't had a good one for at least a year.

Wait 'till you see the revised destruction of Arael. "Why does the Lance
uncoil and grow thrusters?" "Because its the coolest-looking thing in the
whole series."
