While the information on the cards is interesting and
persuasive, it's not something I'd personally consider
"canon" or determinative.

Information placed on trading cards just doesn't
_seem_ as authoritative as a movie program (although I
note your point that the information you've translated
does not relate to gameplay).  It's been pointed out
that the trading cards came out late relative to other
Eva goods, and that it refers to Lilith being the
second Angel.  Yet the DVDs (both individual volumes
and box set) still left the second Angel designation a
mystery.

While the cards were supervised by GAiNAX and while
Eva is bigger than just Anno, still I think that a lot
of Eva is Anno.  The cards may show the understanding
and thoughts of GAiNAX, but I don't feel they may show
us the mind of Anno.

Having said all that, I'm still interested to know
what the other cards say, and I hope you'll continue
to translate them, Bochan_Bird  :)
