Just a reminder: The Dir. Cut NTSC videotape fansub, complete with the
totally new scenes and the altered scenes (new/different dialogue or
improved animation) is available at Soyokaze Fansubs
(www.soyokazefans.com) and Kodocha Anime
(www.animemetropolis.com/kodocha/main.html), among other distributors.
But these 2 are the only ones with master tapes.

Also - these scenes were not "deleted", rather they were added after the
series was completed to help tie up some loose ends and according to
Tsurumaki as an apology to Japanese audiences for the long delay between
Genesis 10 and 11 (VHS/LD) in Japan (Gainax was a bit preoccupied with
some movies at the time.. I forget which ones...) The "Director's Cut"
term refers to the final director-approved edit/version of a film - and
thus the term is appropriate for these versions of eps 21-24.
