Your friend is right on all points: The series end at episode 26 quite
abruptly, making you want for more. Obviously, the rest of the story
is in the mangas, which I haven't read (but I've seen them :). KKNJ
was a very good anime series, with a strange style, but still very
good and funny. Too bad it just ended up like that.

As for the second season, I really doubt it...
