About the pronunciation of Evangelion (Eh-va, Ay-va etc). I might be
completely wrong, but it depends on the accent of the voice actor. Neither
is wrong, in my opinion. It could be loosely compared to the way British
(myself) pronounce tomato (To-mart-toe), and the way Americans pronounce
tomato (To-mate-toe). It would also depend on how the person pronounced
evangelical (with an ee or an ay sound at the beginning). So, I dont
think theres a specific way to pronounce it, given that its based on a
European word . . .
As for Kaoru, I dont have a clue. Ask the Japanese. :P
