that sounds like the old streamline akira dub -- there's a crowd scene early 
on where a soldier shoots a protester (or, well, someone stumbling through a 
teargas cloud during a riot) with a gas canister. in the original japanese, 
the soldier doesn't say anything (and, you know, he's wearing a gas 
mask...so it makes sense.) in the streamline dub there's a really cheesy 
"scumbag!"

amanda winn-lee has the best antecedent for her screwing around -- carl 
macek. =P =)
