Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe there is another inappropriately
added line in the JSSDF invasion scene where you see the Nerv person
crouched over a fallen comrade at the end of a long hallway who turns
slightly and raises his hands in surrender to a Nerv soldier who shoots
him and then walks up and puts another couple of bullets into the
bodies.  IIRC this scene only had the gunshots in the Japanese release,
but in the overseas release they have the Nerv guy pleading "No, please
don't shoot me!" or something like that.  Again, the words/timing are
forced and it damages the atmosphere of the scene, imo.
