Can you really say that after ADV messed up the DVD #1 and made wording errors that affect understanding such as replacing "lilim" with "humans", etc.?  ADV is the mass production, get it out fast-and-cheap distributor in the business, and they
care little about the material except for how much it can make them.

By letting ADV slide but hammering Manga like this, you sound like either an ADV apologist or an ADV employee out to make Manga look bad for doing possibly a better job.  I am not happy with the Manga script and feel that the "estras" list is
also a bit sparse, but IMO the only way an ADV Eva movie release would have been better is in terms of time.

ADV is a big reason why Manga had such a difficult time dealing with Gainax.  From Gainax's point of view, ADV screwed up the English production of the TV series so badly (Gainax asked them to make changes and improvements but ADV brushed them
off, saying that production was already underway) that they were determined not to let the same thing happen with the Eva movies.  Everything down to the smallest detail -- even the lettering type and font on the eyecatch telops had to be
confirmed not just with Gainax, but also the other companies that had taken part in the original production.
Manga took a big risk in purchasing the Eva movies so long after the original production and for such a high price.  ADV was not willing to pay the price (which shows just how much they really care about the material/fans), and was probably not
even in the running due to their handling of the TV series.  You can criticize Manga all you want and some criticism may even be justified, but to give ADV a free ride at the same time is hypocrisy.
