Masayuki and Co. decided that those scenes fit best in
the context of the TV episodes, instead of being
spliced into Death. I don't know why they felt like
this, but whatever. Death went through three edits
before the Final Cut, "Death(true)^2" was released.
Death(true) omitted most of the new footage from
21-24, Death(true)^2 is the same as Death(true) with
the addition of the quick shot of Adam imbedded in
Gendo's hand.

Death(true)^2 is the only version ever released on
video.
