[EVA] An Eva Film- Quartet Question?

I have a question. I just got and saw the First DVD movie, Death and Rebirth.
And I saw a VHs copy of the Pay-per-view showing of the Combined DaR, plus EoE.
Now one thing that I didn't see in the PPV was thefootage of Rei, Shinji, Asuka, and Kaworu playing Pachebelbel's Canon. through out the DVD version.
I simply want to know where did this fottage come from, and Why wasn't it on the PPV showing?

The reason I need this infor, is that I'm writing a FF with the Children playing several pieces in a quartet. It was a surprise to me when I saw the footage and was curious.
