Yeah, we want discussion. DISCUSSION. Not "me too" etc. posts as Brendan's 
described, or personal attacks like that newbie has sunk to.

And tagging posts accordingly has ALWAYS been encouraged.

So some of the posts have been appropriate discussion, if inappriately titled. 
But some haven't.

It's all in the List Rules.
