The most important DC scene to me is the scene leading up to &
especially Rei II/Eva 00's death IMHO. It shows much more how aware Rei
was of the whole position, having independent thought, analysis, &
decision making ability. The scene where Eva 00 stands up & reaches out,
as a distressed, pleading, human might do, was very moving. Only in the
context of its episode can those scenes be truly meaningful. IIRC, Rei
in Eva 00 close-up was also re-animated, and the Rei-to-Rei
mind-conversation was deeper.
