[EVA][OT] Evangelion's drawing made by other artists?

I haven't watched .hack//sign yet, but I can assume it's popular for
Newtype magazine ranking. What I've heard is that it's boring.
Other anime nowadays I can see are in such way popular are Overman King
Gainer, Witch Hunter Robin, Gundam Seed and of course RahXephon.
I've watched the first episode of Witch Hunter Robin, and it seems a
typical 15-year old heroine with special powers.Nothing special.

Besides, I've noticed that character-designs of anime are different
somehow, more reminiscent to Cowboy Bebop than the typical 90's anime
character design. They're more "real"; I mean the proportions of the
body are more human-like and the faces are not big-eyes, child-like
face.
