Avenobashi Mahou Shotengai (lit: Aveno Bridge Magic Shopping District)
is set in Osaka, and while the manga (currently serialized in the
monthly magazine "Afternoon") looks a bit more interesting than
Mahoromatic, it still has the sexual innuendos and gratuitous nudity
scenes necessary to please the average Gainax computer game-buying
otaku.  I believe Yamaga also has a direct hand in this series as well,
but I could be wrong.

On related Gainax/Yamaga-news, Aoki Uru (Blue Uru), the flight simulator
game that is (was?) supposed to become an animated film sequel to Wings
of Honneamise has been put on indefinite hold.  Apparently Director
Yamaga needs to get the Mahoromatic-type pressures out of his system
before moving on to something more epic again.
