>>Like I said earlier, which 'the great' Daniel Snyder (who for the record I've discovered over the course of several years of dealing with him that he's completely full of sh*t.) failed to take into consideration is the fact that CN doesn't even have the rights to Eva yet. An' like a mentioned before, I have it on good authority that they never WILL have the rights unless they can an' agree to show it completely uncut. Why? Cuz ADV won't let them. One of the cool things about ADV is its run by fans, an' they're the kinda freaks who'll refuse to market their stuff over moral issues like dat. :P
Well the thing with the guys who run Adult Swim/Toonami now (called Williams Street for those who don't know) is that they're having the distributor doing the editing, not themselves. This actually increases the likeliness of Eva airing on CN by a lot, because ADV can edit it how they want to do it and you don't have a situation where the distributor sells the show to the network expecting one thing, and sees something else aired.
Its foolish to think that Eva could air uncut on any channel on TV, atleast at this current time. I don't know about you, but toning down the extremely small amount of nudity, which is the only thing there would be a big problem with, doesn't ruin Eva for me. In fact I thought they shouldn't have had any nudity in the show at all, but thats just me.
While I still think the chances aren't too big of Eva airing on CN, due to the money ADV would charge to edit/license it for air, I do think that things are much more likely now then they've ever been. Adult Swim is still in its infant phase and who knows, we may find our self in a position 6 months to a year from now where a show like Eva that we never expected would air on American TV is on the air. It happened with Cowboy Bebop, which has worse overall content than Eva, so who knows...
