It was shown at some other cons too. First North American premiere was
in Canada ^^;

I still hate Spike Spencer.

I thought Shinji's screaming sounded more whimpy and forced than the
Japanese rendititon. Which just sounded totally desperate.

Did you notice the Manga dub says "Eh-va", as opposed to the ADV
"Ay-eva"? :P

Ugh.. I did not like Fuyutsuki's dub at all.
But the worst had to be Keel. He sounded like he was in a bad sci-fi
movie. -_-

Conversly, I thought Allison Keith did a fabulous job as Misato. I
always thought she was the most talented of the ADV TV dub (despite a
rocky start), and I was thrilled with how she handled the character.

Incidentally - were there a bunch of awkward silence moments in the
final version? The version I saw was a rough edit, and there were
numerous parts where the dialogue began too early, and thus ended too
early, creating silent breaks that kind of hurt the flow of the movie.

Hyuga's new VA is Keith Burgess, co-producer of the US release and
Manga's con PR person.

How do you mean? "How disgusting." is much more vague, and in line with
authorial intent, than the alternate "I feel sick."
