And Stella Musy, Misato's VA, is very resemblant to Misato herself (as
much as a real person can be to an anime character).

Slightly more so, but that is far from being "obviously put together by
someone who just grew up during the 1800s". A great deal of attention
was put into making the dub as adherent to the original concept as it
could be, and while - as I said above - I agree that some lines could be
more fluid, at the same time little to no "Italianisms" were introduced,
which is a great feat considering most dubs completely turn inside out
the original work (and I'm talking about motion pictures, not just
anime).
