clearly, this is your opinion -- but i have to wonder why you would join an 
evangelion ML if you don't even like the series. this mailing list isn't the 
"we liked most of evangelion but we found the central themes, points, and 
approaches of the series to be wrongheaded" ML.

if you want to re-imagine eva via fanfic i'm sure there's a fanfic list for 
you to find that would be more receptive. this is a discussion list. so feel 
free to discuss. =)

yeah. me too. then i got fully engaged by the plot, characters, situations, 
and emotions, and found evangelion to be one of the most incredible series i 
have ever seen.

i am not suggesting that i'm right and you're wrong -- that's rather beside 
the point. my point is, if you don't actually like evangelion as it stands, 
why would you enter into a discussion list for die-hard eva otaku? =)

as i said before, if your purpose is really just skewed toward fanfic there 
is an eva fanfic ML. this is much more a discussion forum than a fanfic 
forum.
