but we're not just talking about EoE here -- or he wasn't. it was the last 
four episodes of the series. that's almost the second entire half of the 
series (well, 6 episodes, counting the movie as 2, and discounting the 
original 25 and 26) that are being argued about.

i dunno. i have no interest in talking to people who don't appreciate the 
qualities of evangelion that i find to be the most engaging. the second half 
of the series is where it starts to get really *good*, imo. i am not saying 
anyone has to agree, but the debates and discussions on this list focus 
around the ambiguous moments in evangelion, not over "isn't penpen cute!"

the main thrust, content, and story of the series is embodied in the last 
batch of episodes, to my mind. throw that away, and you may as well be 
watching anything.
