Well, the Japanese are conservative....

IMO it seems that either anime fans there are ageing & fewer new ones
are coming along.
Most series in your list started when either just VHS or LDs were
around. relatively few DVD era titles.

I am not Japanese, but most of my anime (including Eva), is mid 90s or
before.
Too many imitations, not enough innovative productions nowadays.

But then, as with movies, "classic" status takes a decade, or 2, to be
given.
