[EVA] "Math Puppy"

Watching through Eva TV, making my way to the movies, there is one thing
that always makes it seem different to other anime.

No, not the usual stated reasons. I am thinking of the background to
quiet moments of Shinji's. The TV or radio playing in background, and
conversations from them like "Math Puppy" or the phone-in radio
broadcast, or the aerobics, or news.

Some had slight relevancy to what was happening, or its side effects,
others were the world outside completely indifferent. All added
atmosphere.

Those things, not usually put in action animes IMO is what adds to Eva's
uniqueness.
