I just get really confused when animes I think are total
dogs end up praised by all and sundry. Key the Metal Idol
and Noir I thought were both total turds and yet I've found
nary a negative comment on the net. I'm just curious as to
what other people are seeing in them that I'm not.

honestly I don't know if there is a point to continuing this conversation. 
Cause honestly I haven't seen Noir..but I also loved Key. But what I loved 
about FLCL  the Mecha battles. The music. The small traces of romance that 
were there. I really loved the character design and even the characters. I 
don't know it was just like everything seemed to click for me when I watch 
it. 

I don't think it's something i really can explain fully. I mean you know when 
watching something whether your going to be a fan or not. FLCL just did it 
for me. And man...I don't know what to say about not liking Key... To each 
his own, I guess.
