It's just personal opinion. I don't know why you're so
concerned about it. I thought Excel Saga was pretty
horrible with only a few saving graces, but genearlly
not worth the $20 I put down for the first DVD.
However, the general concensus in the anime fan
community is that it's a hilarious parody series. I
thought it was boring and unfunny (most of the time).

I don't think there's something wrong with me, I think
everyone else is wrong. ;)

As far as FLCL - I love it. The random
stream-of-conciousness story telling, the designs, the
characters, practically everything. The ending struck
me as a little weak, but overall it works. It's one of
my favorites, and in my eyes left Kazuya Tsurumaki as
one of the premiere young anime directors at this
time. I can't wait to see his next project.
