In EoE all the NERV command personnel left, "met" with an incarnation
through Rei/Lilith of a deceased friend just before losing their AT
fields & melting into the LCL. Maya=Ritsuko, Fuyutuski=Yui,
Hyuga=Misato, Aoba=Rei. So if Misato had been there, Kaji is the logical
choice.
