[EVA] Finale

I never thought that I would have ever used the Eva ML entry to write an 
adieux mail...and it won't probably make it, so many things to write, so 
little skill with english and expressing emotions...
Here's the end, so similar to the beginning...oh damn, I feel like the 
first time I wrote to this ML, and probably this mail will end up just like 
it (no, I don't have a copy of my first mail, I just remember my comment on 
the 3rd OST cover ), a complete mess of words...
Not really good in writing, I didn't came up with a decent sentence in 10 
minutes after the previous one...OK, the ML is closing down, Eva's dead (or 
it is just me that let other series take its place or sit along it), I feel 
grateful to everyone in this ML and it felt great to be part of this 
community, even if I was mainly a lurker...probably I was only a lurker ^_^;;;;
It's time to say goodbe, so long, adieux...if you casually drop by Milan, 
my doorstep will always have a free place for you guys ;)
Oh, just three last things (Italy only):
* Karekano 7th tape and 4th tankobon are out
* still no sign of FLCL, 2nd Eva DVD or Karekano first disc
* GameCube rules (worldwide ;)

Uhm...no, the list has still two days left, I'd like to talk about some 
similarities between Saikano (Saiku Heiji Kanojo) and Eva (Neon Gen...nah, 
you know what I'm talking about)...probably only an hadful of the ML 
writers saw Saikano, but it is very interesting to note how the main female 
character, Chise (ah yes, uncontrolled spoilers ahead), develops wings too 
similar to 01's wings...and their role is pretty similar too...meant to 
protect (well, at least Nerv made people/pilots believe Evas were ment for 
protection) and they found themselves as the tool for the ending of the 
world...different ways to do that (at last Chise saves Shuji for the whole 
world and her life while 3rd Impact can be willingly left), but ending 
scenes share a similar construction, with a monologue of the primary male 
character with the most intimate person they know (love...for Eva I'm 
basically mixing up scenes from the series and EoE...sorry for that) and 
with a possible good ending after a rough time that made their entire world 
fall apart...probably all directors think that if you don't suffer you 
cannot reach happiness and happines brings more pain, but I feel that the 
two endings share something very similar...unfortunately I haven't read 
Saikano's manga but only watched the OAV series, probably I'm missing 
something, but that's it. Anyone interested or those are just my last two 
cents?
