[EVA] Evangelion Tokusatsu?

A bastard child has nothing to do with legality.  Let me define the 
term bastard child for you, as you've never heard it before.  A bastard 
child is the unsightly, dissapointing, or downright painful iteration 
in any series that is never to be spoken of.

Series / Bastard Child
Project. hack / .hack//DUSK
Aliens Series / Alien Ressurection
DDR / Disney Mix
Resident Evil / Survivor
Street Fighter / Street Fighter: The Movie

Basically, anything you love, taken and maimed horribly is a bastard 
child.  Legality has nothing to do with it.

And WETA being behind it does not guarantee it will be a good film.  
Battlefield Earth had Industrial Light and Magic (of Star Wars fame) 
behind the wheel, and that film is mediocre at best.

There is no reason to dumb down Eva, rewrite it, Americanize it, and 
turn it into some sort of eye candy movie.

Do you really want that?
