Apart from the fact that it may never reach the point of completion,
because of the many problems that could arise, there is a simple
point: it's one anime show, a very complex one at that, and the people
who want to turn it into a motion picture are *Americans*. Don't take
offense on this, US citizens, but that pretty much binds the thing to
fail at least in representing the original. Which, to me, pretty much
means that they could save the bother to call it "Evangelion".
