  Mahoromatic brought in enough viewers for a second season and an OVA.
KareKano was suppose to have been fairly popular....plus theres all the cash
Gainax gets of its computer games.

  Battlefield Earth was a flop inside America and only made money
overseas..... so dont blame us for Battlefield Earth *we're* not the ones
that made it profitable. ^_^
