Hey, lets not get nasty now. Eva, like all good pieces of literature,  can 
be interpreted different ways. While there may be canon facts,  there are no 
canon interpretations. Thats why Eva is so good, you can  discuss it and 
argue different POVs.

Remember, while Eva might not exactly be Shakespeare, it has a lot more  
giant robots then "Mid-Summer's Night Dream"
